Hello, folks. I have been suffering from arthritis for years. I am not good, although I take my therapy regularly. My rheumatologist recommends me a new drug. It is called Rutuxin. As far as I know, it is a newer drug. Has anyone been prescribed this drug? I would like to hear your experiences as well.

Hello. Rutuxin is a newer drug. As far as I know, it is used with more severe forms of rheumatoid arthritis. This is a kind of chemotherapy. However, there are many side effects. First, it interferes with your blood platelets. Headache, facial flushing, dizziness and nausea are also possible. I suggest you to talk to your rheumatologist and see if you really need this medication. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!

I have just finished having Rutuxin for the 3rd time. They say it lasts 6 months I have gone 11 months before needing it again. I tried several of the other medications and they did not work. Rutuxin has worked and I feel almost normal with a few rough days every now and then. If you have not tried any other infusions you will want to ask the doctor about that route first. I am very pleased with this infusion. Yes I have a few side affects but I can pick up a plate and get dressed and drive my car....you get the point. Let us know what you decide.
