Hello, folks. I have been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for a while. I am currently only on NSAID. I must admit that they are not helping me at all. What should I do next? I can’t stand the pain and NSAID cannot help me. I would really appreciate all your advices. Bye!

Hi, there. You should talk to your rheumatologist. There are other groups of medications in RA treatment beside NSAIDs. Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs are more powerful. Sulfasalazin and methotrexate are most used. There are also gold salts injections. TNF blockers are newer drugs. Steroids are also another possibility, but they are linked to many side effects. However, your rheumatologist and you will decide which of these drugs will be used. I hope something will help. Good luck with this!
