Okay, so I've been on birth control for about six months now and I've been super paranoid lately. I'm eighteen. I started birth control in August, and I've been sexually active since then. The last time I had unprotected sex was in early December. I've been steady with taking my pill everyday and all that, and I got my period as expected about a week later. I then started noticing some weight gain in my stomach and my hips. I took preg tests to be safe and they both came back negative.  This comforted me but I've noticed some weight gain in my thighs now.... My body doesn't feel right, it's changed a lot and my stomach growls a lot. I could just be freaking myself out but I'm not sure. I've been convinced I'm not pregnant from the tests and my period, but I just had my period this month, February, and it lasted only three days when its usually supposed to be 5-6 days. I also stopped taking my birth control two days ago because I feel like it may be the reason I'm gaining. idk what to do anymore I can't tell my parents and I've been putting off going to Planned Parenthood or my doctor. Id really appreciate if someone reached out, I'm just really scared.

By the way it sounds your not pregnant. When your stressed about things ex. Being pregnant you gain weight or lose weight & your period becomes irregular. To comfort your self you could go get a blood pregnancy test or a urine test from the doctor but that wouldn't needef because you've already taken to negatives & the test that doctors use are the exact same test that are sold at drug stores.. I really think you have nothing to worry about
