HI im 19. and for the last 3 months i keep bleeding between periods and after sex. do you think its serious? im on the pill, but take this at the same time everyday

Hi,

Since you mention that you are using the birth control pill, I would like to say that it is extremely likely that your bloody discharge between periods is caused by the hormones in the birth control pill. Look up bleeding between periods while on the pill and you will see that all birth control pills list this as a possible side effect.

Bleeding between periods is normally something you should take pretty seriously, but in this case, I think you have your explanation already. You should still let the doctor who prescribed the pill know about your abnormal bleeding, but don't worry too much.
