Same here. It’s been 4 months and I still can’t bend my knee and it is so painful.
How are you doing now?

I had a shot in my SI joint 6 months ago. It went from episodes of pain to constant, unrelenting pain so severe I'm in a wheelchair. Pain pills help very little. New Dr says they hit a nerve, probably causing permanent nerve damage. So much for pain management clinics.

I had the injection 2weeks ago. Not much change till yesterday when I had a miserable day pain had never been so bad it was in my left hip into my bum down the back of my thigh and calf and into my foot and toes. Today seems life easier but there is problem with my left leg giving way sometimes it's like it isn't there!

Hi,
I also had an injection in the neck that caused an embolic stroke and persistent nerve pain.
I am taking legal action in the UK and happy to work with anyone else to do the same. If they didn't tell you the potential consequences then you have not been consented correct.

I had same problem. My leg jumped so high and Dr. Said "Why are you so jumpy?" It was the worst pain I ever felt!!!....I had had one before and never had that kind of pain. I could barely move for first 24 hours. Trying to sleep was unbearable. Nerve pain up and down my leg and butt. However, I am happy to say a few days later pain is gone but leg feels stiff and weak to stand on. Hope you are better!!

I also had an injection 6 weeks ago in my hip. Ever since, it’s been difficult to walk and I have severe pain in my hip down the back of my leg into my foot and toes. What is going on and will this heal?? None of this was going on before the injection.

i was seeing a doctor for pain in my neck and he went to give me a shot in my neck and he hit a nerve. My best friend from arkansas and her daughter had to come take care of me.. for two weeks i was in such bad pain, unbearable pain. I went to emergency room 3 times by ambulance. For most of a week they had to carry me into bathroom. Then later about a year later he was arrested for being hopped up on his own meds and giving outrageous prescriptions. Well recently i had to go to the neurologist because of cat scans and he diagnosed me with peripheral nueropathy. Could that have caused my nueropathy?

A cortisone shot in the big toe caused severe pain. The Ortho surgeon said it is a cortisone flare, and Pedorthist said the nerve was hit.
Where can I go to get tests to see what actually happened?

Hello, I had an attempted injection back in 2015, whatever they hit, caused my arms and lags to flail and 4 nurses came to hold me down until the got the needle out… fast forward, surgery was next, which they say was successful and it was as far as the pinched nerve causing arm pain and numbness… I’ve been left with awful pain like the weight of my head is crushing down onto my body/shoulder area… has anyone else ever dealt with this type of pain?

I'm sorry to hear about your difficult experience. Invasive procedures like cortisone injections and surgeries, especially around the spine or nerve areas, can sometimes lead to complications or residual symptoms.
It sounds like you had a challenging experience during your cortisone injection, which could have been due to the needle inadvertently touching a nerve or another sensitive area. Following this, you mentioned having a surgical procedure to address a pinched nerve, which resolved some of your symptoms but left you with persistent pain in the shoulder area.
Here are some potential reasons for your symptoms:
1. Post-surgical inflammation: Surgery can sometimes cause inflammation in the surrounding tissues, which may result in pain.
2. Scar tissue formation: Any surgery can lead to the formation of scar tissue, which could potentially affect nearby structures or nerves.
3. Incomplete resolution of the initial issue: Sometimes, despite a procedure being deemed "successful," not all of the issues are fully addressed.
4. New or secondary issues: Surgery can sometimes lead to the emergence of new symptoms or problems that weren't present before.
5. Chronic pain syndromes: Some people develop chronic pain conditions following surgeries or injuries, even when there's no clear structural issue present.
It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional, ideally the surgeon who performed the procedure or another specialist like a pain management doctor or neurologist, to discuss your ongoing symptoms. They can provide a thorough evaluation, offer insights into potential causes, and recommend appropriate treatment or management strategies.
Many patients find relief through a combination of medical treatments, physical therapy, and sometimes alternative therapies like acupuncture.
