Cortizone shots can this cause vaginal bleeding

Had same scare. Age 59 and got kennalog injection for hip
5 weeks or so a spotting. Dried up thankfully
But a PA assistant in my clinic does not want to give them , bc they are strong steroid. Kennalog is. And it really messes with your hormones or stimulates your menopause
I think more and more drs know this.

I had a cortisone shot in my hip for bursitis and I always have had a normal period. My period was about 2 weeks late and I finally got it and have been bleeding for 9 days and no signs of it stopping. I also had some strange tissue discharged on day 1 of my period. Almost looked like a gestational sack on the first day which ended up being endometrial lining which the steroid shot caused to thicken more than normal and sloughed off at the start of my period. I will never get a cortisone shot again. I’m 39. Posted my story in case it can help anyone.

And no I was not pregnant. Negative pregnancy test and my husband got a vasectomy.
