I'am an 18 yr old female, sexually active, I was on the the shot for nine months and stopped receiving the shot last july when i was due for another. On the shot i did experience spotting for one the symptons but it was normal blood colour and not as much volume as this dark brown stuff. I did have about a month where I had normal dishcharge then my period.when my next period was due again I had his dark brown, thick but not cottage cheese thick and a little stringy at times and I have been just trying to sit it out, see if it would go away because my schedule is hectic i havnt made it to a doctor. I'm worried about either pregnancy or infection. wondering if anyone would know anything?

As best I can tell, your body is just reactiong to not having the hormones in it which is why you're like this now. When can you talk to your doctor about it and get another injection? Can you let me know?
