A rheumatologist decided to give me a "trigger point" injection in the left side of my chest of 20mg Depo Medrol for chest pain.  Immediately after the shot I felt pain throughout my body and broke into hives, sweat and dizziness.  They had to call EMTs and I ended up with Benadryl and a trip home.  For the next three days I was basically bed ridden with fatigue, nausea and shortness of breath.  Today is the 5th day and I am still suffering from shortness of breath with any exertion.  I went for a chest CT scan yesterday and still hvae not gotten back results.  My entire chest is also much more sore than it was in the first place.  Can an allergic reaction last 5 or more days?  I am sure they will check the CT for a possibility of a punctured lung, but I assume my issues would be more severe if that were the case.
