Okay, I always thought my penis was average or possibly below average in terms of length and girth. My girlfriend recently told me otherwise (no, we didn't have unprotected sex), so I measured and was quite surprised at the results. Now that I know how I measure up (pun intended), I need to know what kind of condoms to get, and which are the most effective and least likely to break... I measure out at 7.5" long, 2.5" in diameter (approx 5" circumference). I'm too embarrassed to go and get a bunch and see which fit me best without knowing really where to start.:$
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Wait... I haven't been in school for a couple of years... so that's like 6" circumference.

Guys are always so concerned with their dimensions. It must come from the sensation of feeling yourself swell.
No matter what your measurements, the first pack of condoms that you buy are probably going to be standard. It is rare that extra large condoms are wildly available, but nowadays, they ARE marketed under a brand name of "Maximum". I would not invest in a pack of three of them until after you've had a bit of experience with other brands, as the last thing you want is a loose condom that doesn't grip at the base.
That is, you want the ring of the condom's opening to hug you tightly enough that your circulation is not cut off, but that the condom will not slip off during intercourse.
There are some sites that you can visit to custom order condoms by dimensions, but I don't think that you know enough about what you want to justify the expense yet.
Although most guys will enjoy the added sensation of having some loose space slipping around the head of the penis during intercourse, you should not ADD lube to the inside, but pinch off the added space that is left so that the ejaculate will have some place to go, and not be forced out or backwards down the shaft.
If your partner lacks lube, you will probably want some waterbased lube (NOT OIL OR PETROLEUM BASED) on the outside of the condom, once it has been applied. Alternatively, you could apply that to their opening (vagina, anus, whatever) to make entry easier.
Several years ago, the new wrinkle was anti-spermicidal dust or lube, that contained Non-oxinal 9... but that has since been linked to irritation and infections in the vagina, and is no longer recommended by the World Health Organization. So, use some lube if you like, but not those treated with Nonoxinal-9.
Hope this helps. You'll note that I did not recommend a brand, as they may vary by region or country. Try a small single or tripple pack until you are more familiar with what works for you.
Good luck.

Condoms are designed to fit all shapes and sizes of penis. The best idea is to buy some and try them out. It is always a good idea to practice putting condoms on before you need to use them for real, to give you confidence in using them. You may find that some makes are more confortable to use than others, but you will need to experiment. Regards, John

There are all different kinds of condoms out on the market. They come in various colors and textures. Some are ribbed for "her pleasure" and i happen to see some that were neon so you could glow in the dark. 8)
There are some out there that have little tickler thingies on them too.
I would concentrate on getting a good name brand like Trojan for example. Stay away from the generic brands and store name brands.
If you end up paying a few bucks more for a popular brand name so be it, it's better than the alternative.

I've heard good things about Beyond Seven brand condoms from my girlfriend. She likes the studded ones. I'll just have to see what fits me best really.

I have yet to hear from anyone that they like or prefer the ribbed kind.
Most women I know can't feel the ribs, or the dots, and it's purely the male image that he might be giving her MORE pleasure that sells these.
But this is the first time I've heard anyone report a woman likes raised dots. Just how are you using them?

Well I'm not yet. She told me from past experiences. Of course, I'm larger than her previous boyfriends. Actually, I have yet to have sex with her.

I think you'll find that it's not so much what texture your penis is wrapped in, as much as how you use it and what it rubs against that thrills the woman.
But, I could be wrong.
Relax and have a good time.
If she wants the ribbed or studded kind, the price shouldn't be all that much different than non-textured.
My girlfriend preferred the lubricated kind some days, but then other times, she admitted that she didn't like the idea of a wet sausage casing being applied. (I'm speaking kind of loosely here... I suppose the point is that different nights, different moods. And some nights, she's more aroused and into it that other night.) PS: She's now my wife.

I hear ya. I dunno if I'm just weird or something, but all I really want in our sex life (when the time comes, that is) is to be able to make her happy and satisfied. I would be much happier knowing that she enjoyed it... cause we guys are pretty easy to please lol.
