The past couple of days I experience discomfort during sex. It feels like i have a cut on my vaginal wall that continues to be irritated when i have sex. My partner has experienced the same thing when either one of us is not lubed well, and the cut continues to open with sexual intercourse. Other than the painful feeling during sex, I dont have any other STI symptoms. Is this a common experience and how should I treat it?

My girlfriend is experiencing the same thing and we wish we knew what was going on. She says it feels like there are a bunch of little cuts on the inside walls of her vagina. After sex, we have to wait a few days before it's even comfortable enough for her to do it again. Every time we have sex it seems to continually irritate the area inside her.
