my boyfriend and i were having protected sex 2 night ago. I was on top and rocking pretty fast when i heard a snap then some pain and blood. I quickly got off and went to clean off. It was a good amount of blood but i just figured it was my period (its irregular). The next moring i went to urinate and it stung, but not like a urinary tract infection pain and there was no blood on my tampon. So i get a mirror and check it out. I have an inch long, semi-deep cut in my inner lip next to my vaginal opening but not connected. Ive been cleaning it with soap and water and applying neosporen on it about 2 times a day. Its barely bleeding now and isnt swollen or pusy. In fact in kinda closed up. But i was wondering if i should still go to a doctor-i dont have insurence and dont want to go unless need be. Is this normal? Can you snap your inner lip during sex? Please give me lots of info!

Hi! I have never heard of such cut occurring during sex! But things happen! Maybe if your skin was way too dry and it just cracked, it is only reasonable explanation for me. I can’t imagine how the wildest sex could make a cut there unless his hairs were extremely sharp, just started growing. Did you use anything else?
As for the open cut, you could be careful and not touch it a lot in case some skin bacteria “decides” to come in into the open skin. Wash your hands regularly and don’t touch the “wound” too often especially with dirty hair. I reckon it should heal quickly. If you notice the slightest irregularity, see a doc as soon as possible as those bacteria can get pretty nasty!

I had the same thing happen last year but right on the inside. I had to get stitches in the emergency room. I had it happen again 2 days ago and I didnt go to the emergency room instead I've washed it and used neosporin. It's like a blunt force wound. Like when a boxer hits someone in the face and their eye splits open. Yeah painful, especially down there!! If anyone has any further advice on how to clean it or what not let me know!

this hapend to me on the weekend and i gt pretty scared because i didnt notice until my boyfriend saw blood...im pregnant so i thought something was wrong but when i wet to the restroom i was washing off and i felt the "sting" nd i felt the cut it was a little smaller than an inch. and it was bleeding alot! since it was kind of deep. its been 3 days later and its not bleeding anymore but its still kinda open..i just left it like that, but ofcourse i cleaned it a little in the shower...
im still kind of scared if it doesnt close soon, i have a doctors appoiment in a week so i wonder what the doctor will say.haha

this probably happend because the condom or your vagina were dry. if it isnt to deep i say just leave it because it happend to me about 4 days ago and its closing and i havent touched it. just wash it a little in the shower.

Hey. This also just happened to me. Weirdly it happened about a month and half ago and it happened again. Well we were haveing sex there was no pop it was just like he slipped out a little n went to go back in too hard and it hurt. Put my hand down there n i was bleeding.... I am pregnant i am 28 weeks so i was freaking out this time more so cause I have never seen a cut bleed like this... I dont know if I should have gone to the doctors or not. I know there is a cut. But the amount of blood was just so startling, it was literally gushing, worse then your period would on a bad day! Not anyway even though the cut i see is close to the vagina on the right inner lip, it hurts to p in 2 spots. It hurts like feels like theres a cut ontop of the p hole too which i cant see. Did everyone else bleed to this ammount? And if i felt the baby move since then is everything definatly alright with her?

I am 33 weeks pregnant and over the weekend the same exact thing happened with me and my boyfriend. It came out and when he went to put it back in, it hurt and caused a cut. It was so much blood I was scared. It happened four days ago and it still isn't completely closed but its healing. It is so painful and I was wondering if I should put neosporin since it's on the inside lip? I also Have adoctor's appointment next week.

so this happened to me to a couple days ago! I've bled during sex a few times before and my doctor just told me it could be that he is to big or its just to rough or i was dry. so when i saw blood i didn't think much of it till i was showering and felt the stinging. i used a mirror and examined it and saw a cut about 2 or 3 centimeters big and is vertical and its right next to the vaginal opening. I've always had problems with being dry and needing to use lubricant but sometimes its just not handy and im not sure what to do, I've never had this kind of cut before. :-(

I totally just did this to my fiance, "Bloody" Valentine's! Not so surprisingly, she freaked out. Like most of you, we heard a !SNAP!
