In the past week I notcied I had what looks to be a cut on my vagina. It's between the labia minora and majora, more like on the inside part of the labia majora. It follows a fold in the skin down there. At first I thought I might have cut myself because I had shaved that morning that I noticed it, so I just put some neosporin on it. It burned a little bit when I did that, but then was fine and I didn't notice it at all until about 2 days ago (I think b/c i was looking to see if it was gone) it's either still there, or came back.
I am now very worried. I've been looking online and the things I've been reading have scared me a lot. I used to have casual sex and a few times it was unprotected, which was stupid and I have since decided to be more careful. The last time was about 2 months ago. I have a physical scheduled in july but I'm so worried I don't know if I can wait that long. I am praying that its nothing serious like herpes....I read that it could appear as cuts or tear...I have just recently gotten more confidence in myself and something like that would just ruin my emotional state. I was wondering if there is anything else that it could be and maybe I'm overreacting? I'm praying that its something else....I also don't want my mom to know and although i'm 20, i'm in college and still on my mom's insurance and also wondering about costs for testing and stuff?

any info would help. I'm really stressing out.

I had something similiar to that when i was younger. I figured it out to be that my jeans were to tight and the seam in the jeans actually cut into my vagina. It was not internal. And it did hurt me. It would sting sometimes when i peed. Just keep it dry and clean. Put the neosporin on at night when you are ready to go to sleep, this way you won't be wiping it off during the day.
It honestly doesn't sound like any thing that you may have contracted.
If you are worried about your mom knowing anything, don't worry. Tho you are on her insurance, the Doctor is not able to tell her anything to do with your medical history, unless you sign a consent. It's called the HIPA Law. Even if she called him on the phone and demanded to know what's up, he can not tell her a thing.
