Detoxing from methadone can be very difficult without medical assistance. You can have different symptoms from vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, ... The most dangerous part is that his body can go "crazy"for methadone and this are exactly the moments that people take severe overdose with life risks. So the first thing is that he shouldn't have any access to methadone himself while detoxing, and for sure be folllowed by a medical doctor specialist in addiction that will give him the assistance he needs. Take care!

Hi thanks for the response today is the fifth day without methadone and the only symptoms his having is some chills at time and some agitation in the body which do not last....he has regain his appetite and sleeps more than he does not.... he has no access to methadone ..for here only doctors can prescribe it in a wellness centre which you have to be a patient following the treatment there... so his done with that.. but at times he is complaining of aches and pains but takes vitamins and one or two times has taken codeine .... he has marzipan but he does not want to take it for he says he use to it can be addictive but that would have helped him sleep... but otherwise all is going quite well and he is swimming and keeping busy with chores and stuff and all is going fine. I PRAY EVERYDAY FOR THIS TO CONTINUE TILL HE GETS COMPLETELY WELL AND HEALTHY
