Hi,

I am 27 and i came of the mini pill in july after 2 years, previously to this I was on the injection for about 5 years and have not had a period since I was 20. I came off to start a family with my husband. I know that it could take a few months for my body to sort itself out, but is it different if I haven't had periods for so long, can my body 'forget' how to ovulate? Before I stopped having periods, I always suffered with really bad period pain, to the point of not being able to walk properly, and now that pain as returned on a monthly basis, however there is no actual period? Does this mean my body is slowly getting itself in order or is there a problem there?
I read on some of the other posts that if there is no period, I am not ovulating, simple as that... does this mean that I am not releasing an egg and that I am storing them all up and will have menopause at the age of 94??

I would appreciate hearing from anyone else who has been on the mini pill and what experiences they have had, or from anyone that knows why I might be experiencing the period pain without the actual periods???
