I went off the pill over a month ago. My husband and I aren't actively trying to conceive, but we aren't preventing it either. We decided to just let it happen. Anyhow, since then we have had intercourse as regular as usual. I should have gotten my period on June 13. I still haven't gotten it but I have experienced the usual smptoms; bloating, tender breasts, etc. I took a test on the 16th, but it was negative. Since about the week of the 11th, when we make love it is a little bloody. It happened again this week and I am totally frustrated. Afterwards, I still don't have any discharge, meaning to say, I still don't get my actual period. Aside from the blood after intercourse, there is nothing. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms after going off Yaz?? If i don't get my period by the 23rd I am going to take another test. ANY advice or insight would be great!

Hey, who gave you those pills? Did your gynecologist prescribe them to you or you took it alone, without consulting him?

Look, sometimes pills can cause those side - effects and you need to be very careful with them. Maybe they changed your cycle. This was the case so many times and this should not be a surprising for you.

You can have period symptoms but this sometimes doesn't mean anything.

But you do know that whenever you have unprotected intercourse, there are huge chances that you can stay pregnant.

But since you were taking pills, go to consult your doctor.

I haven't been on the pill for 5 years now. I had unprotected sex last month and for the first time in my life had an early, very light period (a week early and only lasted a night and half day). Two days later, I bled during intercourse. I did loads of research on the net and both things are possible signs of pregnancy. The bleeding could be implantation bleeding. The bleeding after intercourse also common as the cervix very soft and filled with blood vessels when pregnant. I waited for period ... when I was 2 days late, I was convinced I was pego, but urine test negative. Decided to go to hosp for blood test ... I did the qualitative one ... it was negative too. Decided I must wait another week to test again. Did another urine test ... still negative! I am now 13 days late. I have NEVER been late before. I've NEVER had bleeding a week early and have NEVER bled during intercourse. It is all so confusing. I don't have any prego symptoms other than the slightest bit of nausea from time to time, but beginning to think it is in my head. If I had had an early miscarriage after implantation, surely my period would then have come as normal? Does anybody know the answer to that? It is the first month we have started using the pull-out method with a couple of 'accidents' ... could this all be coincidence and there is something else wrong with me?

I haven't had my period since December, and it was a lighter than usual period. It's been 2 months since that light period, and still nothing. I also have bled during sex, I seen a red dot in my underwear after sex, when I went to the bathroom, so I stuck a tampon in and then later took it out to find that there was no blood on it. WEIRD... I dont know if im pregnant or... if I have something wrong with me?

I came off the pill last August to start trying for another baby. I have had only one period since then. It is 4 months since that one. I have started bleeding a little during sex but that's all. Done pregnancy tests, all of which have been negative. No other symptoms of pregnancy other than slightly dizzy sometimes. Any one got any ideas????

I have always had irregular periods. My last period was feb 11, 2011. after intercourse with my boyfriend i took a plan b pill on march 2nd then started spotting on march 9th (which I heard is normal). Well I've had nothing since then.  If that was just "spotting" and not my period then it has been 79 days since my last period.  I am finally having period symptoms but those symptoms have been going on for about two weeks now. I have taken two pregnancy tests and they both were negative.  two weeks ago i bleed a little during intercourse. I thought it was my period but nothing. Has anyone who posted earlier found out what is going on?

I have the same problem. I started taking birth control because my period was so irregular. Then I decided to stop the pill, and when I did I stopped getting my period. Often during intercourse I will bleed a bit, and think that maybe it's my period but it's not. I keep a stock of pregnancy tests, but they are always negative. Soo... I went to the gyno and he told me something about annovulation and just to get back on bc, and worry about it when I want to have a baby. Went to another doctor, and they told me the same thing. The term anovulation is very vague and basically means you are not releasing an egg for whatever reason. I am really tired of the hole bleeding during intercourse and always stressing about no period, but I don't want to go back on the pill. Guess I have to make another doctors appointment.

I came looking for answers online as well, doctor being the last resort. I too am on YAZ and am experiencing bleeding after intercourse but only when my partner and I try different positions, and the bleeding is always in the morning. Since being on YAZ my periods have become very short and less frequent, but also very sensitive if I don't take the pill at the same exact time every night. Maybe it's the brand? I also am worried that something is going on but think after reading the other posts it could just be this pill. Let us know if anyone finds anything out!

This is actually fairly normal. It can take up to a year for your body to adjust from coming off birth control. After going off nuva ring I didn't get a period for just over six months and I began lactating slightly. Coming off of alesse it took 3 months for my period to stop turning on and off every week. Birth control pills are extremely intense drugs. Give your body time to adjust. Some women go right back to normal and others take time. If it worries you still talk to a healthcare provider. Dont let the internet panic you with notions of this not being normal. NEVER GOOGLE HEALTH CONCERNS. you'll just make yourself worry needlessly.
