Guaifenesin is in FDA category B, which means that there should be no risk associated with its usage during pregnancy. In studies done in pregnant women who were taking guaifenesin during the first 3 months of pregnancy, no birth defects occurred. You should talk to your doctor about your therapy during pregnancy. You should better not risk with your baby’s health.
