Please help! This is making me crazy!!!
I started taking Mircette in December and ended up having a 3 week period. My doctor said the pill's dosage must have been too low so she switched me to Cyclessa, which has the same hormones just a higher dosage I guess. Well Cyclessa ended up being even worse because I took it for 2 months and had my period for 7 weeks. My doctor gave me a free sample of Ortho tri-cyclen lo so I started that this past sunday, and I still have my period and it's even heavier than before!!! I would go see my doctor again, except I am away at school in a completely different state. I cannot take having this heavy period any longer. Before I went on the pill it was always regular. It's just driving me crazy. So my question is, is it a bad idea to stop taking the pill before I finish the pack? Should I wait until I finish? Or keep taking it until May when I get to see my doctor finally and hopefully get switched to a different pill? Getting pregnant is not an issue, I just don't want to mess up my body even more by stopping and starting pills.

I would stop taking the pills if they are making you bleed this much. You shouldn't wait until May, you may become anemic from so much bleeding and it already started interfering with your life.
