I think I'm being paranoid, but who knows?!

I've been on birth control for five cycles, and have used it as my only form of birth control during sex (assuming that 99% accuracy should be enough!).

At this point, I should be getting used to the hormones, right? Well, my breast continue to increase in size, and pretty much hurt all the time, aside from the first three days of my new pill pack.

AND, in the third week of each cycle I still have breakthrough bleeding.

Here's the running-out-of-time thing: I'm going to India for six month, and I'm leaving in nine days!

I am worried that maybe I'm on a BC that doesn't work well with my body. And that maybe the only reason then, that I haven't gotten pregnant, is luck. (??!) And of course, like many young women who are new to b/c use, I'm also worried that I might be pregnant, given the sore breast symptom. Trouble is, I can't test for pregnancy until 14 days from now when my period is due. By that point, I'll be far, far away from any safely run abortion clinics...what do I do??!

I dont know what you mean by breakthrough bleeding but hormones are hormones I always gain a few pounds and my breasts grow when i am on birth control. If you think you might be preggers, just take a test it should tell you one way or another no matter what part of your cycle you are on. about the breast pain, make sure you have advil or aleive around, unless its unbearable, then you should to to a clinic. be thankful, birth control usually gives me daily headaches.

I'm sorry I just saw your letter.
I think you need to change to Lo-Orval pills.
It took me a while to find the one that worked best for me.
You can take a pregnancy test any time during your cycle.
Stess delays your period for long periods of time.
Also, so does low fat percentage of your body weight.
Good luck!
