Birth control pill and period help..?
My boyfriend and i had a slip, but there was a very little chance that anything could have happened anyways.
I got my period the usual time about a week and a half later.
Now its been a week and i am still bleeding lightly about once or twice a day and have a bit of cramps.
I started to take my birth control in the morning because it was just alot easier for me this week after my period.
We are not where we usually are right now so doctor and pregnancy test are not available.
I would like to know if my pills caused this bleeding or if I should be worried.

Hey,
there is no point in you stopping the birth control just so you would get the bleeding - that happens anyway when you stop taking active pills no matter if it is time for it or not. That is just the way our bodies react when suddenly it doesn't get hormones from the pill. So, that would tell you nothing about the pregnancy. It would be just a breakthrough bleeding and that wouldn't do anything for you. As far as pregnancy is concerned - test two weeks after the sex s the only way to know (even though it really does seem you were protected).
On the other side, you changing the time you take the pill could have caused the change you've seen in bleeding - all side effects of the pill are most common if you don't take it just in time every day. SO, it's better to stick with the way you are taking it now so your body can adjust again to the hormones.
