I am 55 yr old male who has been dealing with hemorrhoids for 30 years. I was sick of pushing them back up every time I had a BW and it was to a point I would get a flair up when I mowed the grass so I decided to do the surgery. Went to Dr Sam Atallah who was has won awards for advanced methods minimal invasive surgery called TAMIS. I had stage 3 internal hemorrhoids.
Day 1 -after surgery there was NO pain, as the nova cane had not worn off. I even went to Home Depot.
Day 2 -second 24 hours was about a 7 out of 10, mostly from colon spasms. Could not move. Took a Vicodin but did not want to take many as Vicodin can cause constipation. Took lots of colace, ibuprofen and kelloggs all bran and ate lots of fruit. But, my biggest fear was the first BM. I even had to take a Valium to calm my nerves which I suggest everyone to due if this is a problem.
Day 3 - I had to go to the bathroom now. I ate my bran cereal, took a Vicodin, and a warm enema and prayed to god. Sat on the toilet and kind of pushed but not too hard. Success. And there was no pain. Maybe I did not push the big stuff out yet, but I am still amazed there was no pain. It is has now been 72 hours since the surgery and the pain is a 2 out of 10. I almost feel like I am back to normal. And there is no prolapse coming out of my rear end. Amazing.
