hey there!I'm 18 years old and sexually active.THree days ago I started taking the pill,and after the first day of my period the blood stopped!!!my period lasted for one day! I called my gynechologist and she said that it's either due to the pill,or I might even be pregnant!!!what do you think?I'm freaked out about the idea of being pregnant,so I wanted to ask,how long do I have to wait before I take a pregnancy test?and also...should I in your opinion be worried?or is it just a common symptom?

if ur not ready for a baby den u shud be worried...cuz sum birth control pills do not work n da only thing that really prevent pregnacy is condoms or not havin sex at all....

If you had unprotected sex only three days after starting the pill then you COULD be pregnant. You usually need to wait at least a week for the pill to become effective. However, your body takes about 3 months to get used to the hormones in the pill so it could have just been an irregular period that you got. Wait a week or so and then take a test.
