I have been using hydrochlorot for two weeks and have nor noticed an increase in urination. I broke out with a rash, redness on the tops of both hands after a week of use. I didn't report this to the doctor yet because I saw a smallbump like ant bite on each hand;so, I wasn't sure if it was the result of a bite. It itched very bad so I put an itch cream on it for four days until it went away. Questions, How long does one take this medication before a change in urination occurs? Is it related to how much liquid one drinks? Is it possible that the redness on my hands were an allergic reaction to the medication?I will be making an appointment to see my doctor this week.

It's possible you will not see any change in urine output. This does not necessarily mean the medication is not working. For most people using diuretics, however, urine output increases within 24 hours of starting the medication.
It's possible the medication could be causing the rash. Hard to say without knowing what you ate, where you've been, what you touched since taking the medication.
Be sure and ask your doctor all the questions you asked here.
