DO I NEED TO EAT A BANANA OR OTHER POTASSIUM FOOD WHILE TAKING HYDROCHLOROT OR DOES IT CONTAIN SOMETHING IN THE MEDICATION TO KEEP FROM DEPLETING MY POTASSIUM, LIKE SOME DIURETICS DO?

Hi! I reckon that Hydrochlorot alone doesn’t contain potassium supplements and that you have to either ask your doctor to prescribe you an additional potassium supplement or that you should foods high in potassium.

Foods very high in potassium are all sorts of meat, fish and poultry, bananas like you said, apricots, avocado, kiwi, oranges, milk, potatoes, spinach, tomatoes, etc. Of course, you have to be careful and not over do it with potassium.
There are other potassium sparing diuretics you could use.

my doctor told me not to worry about extra potassium, just drink lots and lots of water, that's why you sometimes get leg cramps at night.
