Omg! I am 14 and I think I started my first period today as well! Omg I went to the bathroom and I looked in my pants an there was a brownish redish stain! Omg what do I do!!?!?! I stole my moms pad and put it in but there is only like bits and some discharge in it! What do I do? Is it a period?

The brown blood, could simply be old blood, however if you're sexually active you might want to check if you're pregnant.

I've read all of your comments but im still worried, im 11 and i get a brown substance... just like discharge but of course brown... i have had this more than once, 3 times now i had my period only 3 times remember and the first two times were on time but the next time was a whole month late.. or two months!! I'm scared and worried i have told my mum about this, she said it's just because i've just started but i haven't just it has happened 3 times now, pleaseee help me!!

Hey I'm 11 about to be 12 and lastyear I had the same thing be calm but it definitely isn't your period but it means your body is preparing for a period at any time or moment but the brown stuff (which I learned about in a puberty video at school last year) can be white or brown though and I just started my actual period today I feel so awkward and earlier I felt lightheaded at school and had a terrible headeache those are signs of your period coming also stomach cramps if your a tween or teen talk to your mom for further info!!!

Don't worry the brown stuff is just dried up blood, it comes out red but then turns brown, it's normal DONT worry

It's brown discharge the beginning of your period your period won't start for a while! Don't it tampons in and ask your mum for pantiliners
