hi, i am having some concerns with taking plan b. i took plan b roughly 8 hours after unprotected sex. should i be worried about anything?

update: just to let anyone know who reads my question it’s been a week since i took the plan b and i threw up this morning. i do have a head cold but i really don’t know what else could have caused that.

Hi,
Plan B can be taken up to 120 hours after unprotected sex, but it is more effective the sooner you take it — and you took it pretty fast! Plan B isn't 100 percent effective, Headaches and nausea are possible side effects, but they should subside within a few days rather than showing up a week later.
Anyone who doesn't get their period within a week of their normal date (because plan B can delay periods a bit) should take a pregnancy test.
