I had a hystorectomy that uncovered a glandular infection. For years I complained of strange pains throbbing in my abdomen but through CAT SCANS and sonograms nothing showed until they cut me open to remove a fibroid that was deteriorating the size of a football. At which time they did a radical hystorectomy and remove my perionitis and apendix only to give me more mesh. The pathologist thought for sure it was cancer. Thank God it wasn't but three weeks later I almost died from infection in my abdomen due to nacrotic tissue wrapped around my small and large intestine where an absess was trapped. After all an Infectious Disease doctor saved my life with Meroprene(long term antibiotics). I still have pain and a lump under my skin that no doctor wishes to confirm that it is there. I recently had all the symptoms of having an absess but it ruptured in my fat deep under my skin or abdomen. Every now and then when I feel like this my kidneys also kick. I can't explain it any other way and I will get sharp pains. So sad because I feel like I am sick and nobody beleives me. Doctors look at me like I am nuts. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them and do you know of what exam could detect these absess of glandular infections.

Hi there
Sorry to hear about your condition. For someone who has extensive surgery, the surgeon himself can answer these queries better. May I suggest that you get a second opinion - explain your condition and carry all of your medical records with you. Love, light and healing. Good luck

Have you ever had tests for diabeties? because my brother and my uncle grew a few huge abssess on their backs under the skin but they can grow inside the body too, this is because of high ketones associated with diabetes, you need to get tested ASAP if it may be diabetes because it's life threatening when it gets to that point, you may not but it's worth getting a test just to be certain, they usually never diagnose diabetes properly until you come up with the evidence yourself to force them into helping you, they didn't with my uncle and could of died if my auntie didn't ask about this happening to my bro, but even then my bro was misdiagnosed with the wrong type of diabetes twice, only they finally admitted he has Type 1 and so does my uncle. Also it may be Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (if your female), which can cause "cysts" to grow around other parts of the body, not just the ovarys, of course only a small minority of women with this condition get "cysts", even more rare to grow around other parts of the body but not unheard of ether.
