Hello,
I’ve been having this weird tiny, itchy rash on my hands for months now and so far I’ve used topical steroid cream and Benadryl (both oral and topical). Both steroids and Benadryl only help to relieve itching temporarily, and then it’s back the next morning. I didn’t have anything like this happen to me in the past, so I’m waiting to hear when I’m scheduled for allergy testing to find out what is causing this rash.
In the meantime, would Allegra work better for getting rid of this rash than Benadryl?

Hi,
Allegra might be, if nothing else, less expensive since you get it with prescription instead of paying the full price of over the counter medications. One major benefit of Allegra for me is that it doesn't make you sleepy or drowsy unlike Benadryl oral (even though I still sometimes need Benadryl to help me sleep).
Besides, you only need to take one Allegra pill in the morning and you're set for the day, instead of much shorter acting Benadryl or topical creams.
