I have been on Klonopin for about 3 months at a dose 1.5 mg/day. I have been trying to lower the dose over the last few days because I am afraid of addiction. I began to feel so sleepy during the day and for the last few days I have been getting waves of anxiety for no reason. Am I addicted already on Klonopin?

I never know whether I am addicted or I developed a tolerance to it. I have been on Klonopin for 6 months now. I am taking 4 mg a day, divided throughout the day. But it just isn't the same anymore. I fell like it stopped working. I am not sure what to do now, have I developed a tolerance to Klonopin and need to increase the dose? I told my doctor about how I fell and she doesn't want to make any changes. Did you tell yours?

My pharmacist told me that people try to get off this med too quickly. He said that I should half the dose each time I refilled my RX and take that half dose until that refill was gone. He told me it would take longer, but it would keep me from having withdrawal symptoms. He was right. I haven't taken it or wanted it in years.

I have been taking klonopin for over 6 years. I started at 0.5 mg 4xday and at the end 6 mg a day. I stopped taking it a couple of months ago because it didn't work anymore and I was on a very high dose so I could'nt take more. I stopped in the course of one week without any symptoms of withdrawal. maybe a lil edginess and/or insomnia..not bad at all. I have schizoaffective disorder...which is a serious mental illness. I am starting ativan tomorrow as I just was prescibed it yesterday. I am not worried about addiction...just a needless fear that people should just chill about.
