Good Day,

Initially I took Klonopin for atypical TMJ in the the 1980s. I don't remember the the dose. It may have been

.5 mg twice a day for many years. I stopped it cold turkey and had symptoms for about a week.

After a hysterectomy in 1996, I developed fibromyalgia. The doctor prescribed .5 mg klonopin daily at night.

It was like a magic bullet, I felt better immediately. I also do many other things for my fibro: exercise,

massage, cold laser, ultra sound

About 1 1/2 years ago my neurologist said that I  should get off of klonopin as it will effect my memory

( I am 71 years old.) I withdrew from it very slowly.  In May I was down to .5mg every 5 days and

the doctor said that I could stop.

He said I could have withdrawal symptoms for one year after after stopping. My symptoms (?) now

are worse than when I was cutting down on the pills. IF THEY ARE SYMPTOMS???

My TMJ is out of control ( I am on my second mouth guard in a year.) I have a stiff and painful neck,

pain in my hip area, IBS, headaches, tennis elbow....... I only sleep about 3 hours a night. I work as

a tutor and all this makes it very difficult.

I would welcome any comments and suggestions. Help!!!
