my son was born with one testicle and he is now 15 and has never had any problems. can there be problems in the future if i dont have this taken care of?

Has he ever been checked by urologist?
If not, I would suggest you to make an appointment. Undescended testes are common birth defect of male genitalia, but they could be leading cause to some serious health conditions later in life.
