There are two essential fatty acids which your body does not produce on its own, omega-3 fatty acid and omega-6 fatty acid. These are important for brain development, blood pressure regulation and immune system function. The best sources of omega-6 are seeds, nuts and grains and green leafy vegetables, like lettuce, but you should avoid cooking of vegetables because they are losing their health benefits on that way.
