Hi, there. I have heard something about otosclerosis. I know that this is something that comes with an age. However, I would like to know if this can cause partial deafness. Or could one cause the other? What do you think? I will gladly hear out your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Hello, there. Otosclerosis is the condition that comes with an age. It is one of the leading reasons for progressive hearing loss in elder people. It affects auditory ossicles interfering with sound conduction. Sometimes it can affect nerve as well. This hearing loss is slow and progressive. At some phase, you can tell that otosclerosis can cause partial deafness. You can consult an ENT specialist about more details. I hope this will help you. Good luck!
