Hi there. I’ve heard many things about diseases that can cause hearing loss. But, I don’t know much about presbyacusis. Can you explain me difference between presbyacusis and noise induced hearing loss? This is just curiosity, but I would be very grateful if you answer me on this question.

When we are exposed to too loud or loud sounds that last a long time sensitive structures in our inner ear can be damaged, causing noise-induced hearing loss. On the other side, presbyacusis is an overall category for age related hearing loss. It is specific because not all noise induced hearing loss is related to presbyacusis. It is the most common cause of adult auditory deficiency. The interactions between NIHL and age-related hearing loss are complex, difficult to determine, and poorly understood.
