I think that the exact term for this condition would be inflammatory myopathy. This particular disease is related to dermatomyositis and inclusion body myositis. That concludes the description. In adulthood this disease becomes evident. It is more common in females than in males. As far as I know, prednisone is used for treatment. That is more or less everything I know.
