Hi all,

Between June 19-21, I was about to have a sexual encounter. Although, the guy was nowhere near or inside the "entrance". I am still a virgin.

My period arrived when it was supposed to. It started to discharge on July 14, but it was light. The actual period just started today, but it is light as well. I don't think high stress and medicine (from being sick from allergies) is supporting the issue. I am experiencing cramps as usual.

On websites and from friends, they have told me you can only get pregnant if the guy is near or inside the "entrance" and will receive a period 8-10 days later. That did not happen to me. I have also heard that a period is confused with spotting, but I am not spotting. I also read that the period can be shorter and lighter than usual for two months, and the periods will end due to pregnancy. This time, my period is light. The discharge and period have lasted for 4 days now.

Is there a possibility that I am?

Dear unsure,

I am 19 years old. I had my first baby at 17 and am now pregnant again! I know how you are feeling! BUT- although it is always 'possible' I really do not think you could be pregnant unless the guy ejaculated near your vagina. (I'm thinking like within 4-5 inches near!) And since you are having any sort of a period I would again say you can probably count on not being pregnant because at least in my experience, implantation only lasts a day or two and is very very light. (In my experience, one or two DROPS of blood- no need for tampon or pad) So I think you are safe :) Keep us updated!
