last month i missed my periods but i was having white discharge coming out of my vigina,i went to the clinic and i was given pils then i had my period again but my discharge continued.my problem now the discharge is coming thick like mucus and is redish

You could have some kind of infection! Have you been checked by your gynecologist when you were given the pills?
Excessive white discharge usually shows up when you are about to get your period, during ovulation or in very early period. Since you got your period, it is not early pregnancy then.
I suppose you were given some kind of hormonal pills for inducing periods and these hormonal pills could make you spot blood and experience breakthrough bleeding when you are not about to have your period and could possible cause abnormal discharge.
If your gyn hasn’t performed an exam when you went there, I would suggest you had it done just to make sure you are free of infections.
