You have go control your cravings! Seriously. And not eat all the time! I've been on it for 6 months and my doctor said that alot of women gain weight on it. I laughed. I told her, yes because of increase of appetite. She said yes, exactly. She asked if I was concerned I told her no. I knew I wouldn't gain weight because I can control myself. I've lost 15lbs. I'm not a big eater. But I've been bleeding for 2 months now. Not happy. Done with it. I just hope within the next couple years I can get pregnant!

I went on the depo when I was 22, I only had one shot, I went from 130 to 152 within the first month and a half, had spotting to light bleeding almost every day, extreme fatigue, my emotions were uncontrollable for awhile and I had no sex drive whatsoever. I took the shot January 19th 2015, it is now sept. 15th 2015. I had my period twice in July and have had zero sex drive since I since I received my shot. Even if I masturbate for an hour or have sex. I cannot reach a full orgasm any longer, I am only 23. It is effecting my relationship as he feels neglected and like I'm not into him or I must be into someone else. I was never advised to take calcium supplements. Only of weight gain. I hope I don't have any serious long term effects since I only took it for a three month period and that I get my libido back. Do not use this form of birth control. It is not worth it.

I've been on depot for almost 2 years, no side effects or problems whatsoever! Besides the fact i never want sex, but hey if you're single this is perfect - also never had a period since woohoo! Best form of contraception i've had so far! Don't be put off by all these experiences, try it for the first 3 months and if you don't get on well, then you won't need to get another shot
