This is a site for medical questions so i thoguht id ask this

2 days ago i started having nosebleeds, the thing is it wasn't a slow one it was dripping out my nose. I tried pinching them and this didn't help it just made it worse. I just had another one about 5 minutes ago, and i am wondering what can cause it to start bleeding like this.

I got up the other day, went to turn my computer on and it started dripping all over the keyboard. I went to the doctors and they said that i would have to go to burton to have the vein burned. However i need to go there when this is happening, and by time i get there it will be a normal slow nose bleed.

Also i dont much fany the idea of having a needle shoved up my nostril to numb my nose while they do this. Does anyone know what could cause such bleeding, yesterday it was bleeding for 5 hours before it created a bloodclot. It dripped for about 30 Minutes then had a slow bleed for the next 4,Hrs 30 Mins.

I havent banged my nose or picked it, the only thing i have done is sniff. I have noticed however that when i go into a warm room it starts to bleed alot untill it starts dripping. I am currently sitting here with the window open and the fan on me to keep my temperature down.

I would really appreciate any help or advice from somebody

My daughter has them all the time and i often did as a kid. She is quite a strong healthy kid apart from that and someone in an emergency room once said that she reckons its healthy kids that get them a lot which seems to go as my other child has asthma, rhinitus and eczema and never has them. So maybe its does seem to go like that. I wouldnt be too worried. A cold flannel over the nose seems to help sometimes.
