sex 6 days before ovulation....could i become pregnant?

We are just complicated creatures - which our partners can attest too! ;-) I have helped women on here, that have had negative urine and blood test after another! YET they FEEL pregnnat, and low and behold they are!! It amazes me how we can "sneak by science" sometimes! And what is SUPPOSED to happen doesn't always! I also find - being on here and talking to young people - that the MORE information that is out there (tv, movies, internet etc) the LESS these young people know! Some are at one end of the cusp - they think they are pregnant from laying next too each other with underwear on! And then the others - having sex when they don't THINK they are ovulating! And not having a clue when there period or ovulation or dates of unprotected sex are! It is just mind boggling! So when I come across a woman who is REALLY trying I say just take the stress out of it and enjoy each other as much as possible! Because there cycles could be TOTALLY different! Like I said it's NEW information almost daily! I just saw the thing about increase in sperm last week! And before I was told that it decreased! So you just never know ! and GOOD luck with your "Biology Assignment!!!" ;-) ;-) Did you also know about Prenatal vitamins increasing a womans fertility? And now they think that there isn't too much about the prenatals and the babies spinal cord development!!!!!? I mean really what are we supposed to believe!?

No I didn't hear that one, I only heard about men taking a form of prenatal vitamins and it may increase fertility, and yes there are so many myths, rumors, new information that contradicts the old and everything else in between!! And I have always figured the one about the prenatal vitamins and babies spinal cord, I mean many women don't even know they're pregnant when the cord has already developed and the babies come out perfectly fine! A healthy diet has always helped in the past hundreds of years, they didn't have vitamins like we do and they still had babies! Sometimes I think that people think no one survived without baby books, prenatal vitamins, cough syrup, and ovulation predictor kits! XD

And it really is a shame at how MISINFORMED a lot of younger AND older people are. You'd probably be surprised if you found out the real age of these internet-question-board posters. There are so many people posting incorrect information or answering questions to which they only know half about or not explaining correctly. I think that's why many of the women on shows like Maury don't know who their child's father is because they just aren't keeping track of their bodies and they don't understand how it works. (and they obviously don't believe in monogamy or birth control) So if you have sex with 3 men during your 2 most fertile weeks, but you don't know you're fertile at the time, then of course you'll have a problem! Like you said they don't remember the times they had sex, when their period is due, or when they were even ovulating! It really is hard to understand why a woman or man wouldn't want to understand everything they possibly can about their bodies to prevent or conceive! Even women who don't have a "normal" 28 day cycle or extremely irregular cycle can at least chart so they can know something about their reproductive system and that's what they should be teaching in school! Not everyone is textbook 28 days and ovulates on the 14th day and has a 5 day period! >:(

Hi im jenny and me and my hubby have been trying to conceive since may 2010. My last period was on oct 15th and we had sex everyday after my period. I ovulated on the 29Th. About 1 week and a half later i had some bright pink spotting that turned to dark brown it only lasted about 2 days and wasnt enough to even wear a pantyliner. Now im having sore breast and sore uterus and feeling really bloated. Its a week before my period and im guessing its to early to test. But could i be pregnant? Any advice will help thanks!

My question is...If i have sex two days before and the week of my "fertile" week...what are my chances that I will get pregnant...im taking anti depressants and if the chance is HIGH i want to stop taking them.
