side effects of coming off depo provera

i was on the depo for 5years,was due my last shot in june,i didnt get it,since then ive gained over 14ponds and my boobs are disgustingly big,im suicidal.....also no period yet.

hiy i was on the depo shot for 3 months i had a period on the 8th of september for 5 days but started bleeding on the 22nd is that still ok or is there something wrong 

 

It will get better. I had one shot of this and it's taken 5 months for me to get back to 'normal'. I thought I was going mad! I've never ever been depressed/anxious before in my life but now realise this was simply the after effects of this horrible contraception. Other symptoms included - got flushes, night sweats, trouble sleeping, tired, nausea and worst of all panic attacks. These have all finally gone, still some nipple sensitivity but I put this down to simply my periods bring back on track. Bear with it, just let it flush out of your system - I wish someone could have reassured me of this 5 months ago :)

I'm on the shot now, and I have pretty much all of those symptoms! I didn't know the shot can do that to you. I thought there was something wrong with me. I'm definitely getting taken OFF depo. Hopefully you feel better. :]

Okay, I have been on the depo since 2009. And I am really considering coming off. I hve had some symptoms about a year after Bein on it. I now have IBS, anxiety, and mood swings. I've went up 7 sizes in my pants and gained about 25 lbs. I am nauseated a lot... I am very fatigue and have a lot of headaches, I also hurt in my joints; hips, hands, knees and ankles. And I've lost total interst in sex? I'm wanting to stop the shot but I'm afraid if terrible side affects coming off? Any advise ?

i took one depo shot and it is ruining my life! I gained 35 pounds and was on a diet and nothing stoped the weight gain. i never took it again. its been 9 months since i took it i had 3 cycles and now i have been bleeding for a month. i lost 10 pounds and now im bloating again.. wish i never would have took it!

The Depo injections are bad for the body. That's just way to much bleeding. IM GETTING OFF DEPO THIS MONTH. And I only taken it once and I have been bleeding for three months now. not a good method for me.

I have been on depo since 9/11/2001 and it's now 12/4/2014 yeah that's a solid 13 years. Not having any problems with the depo however my doctor wants me to try something different due to it causing bone loss. So far I haven't had this but she's worried after 13 years that it may happen sooner than later. I just recieved my last shot on 11/6. I soon will be starting Seasonique and I'm TERRIFIED! I have never had a period since starting this shot, and honestly pads and tampons have changed. lol I have no idea where to start! Hopefully since I will be starting this pill much sooner than my shot runs out that I won't have to worry too much about the side effects. Has anyone went from Depo to Seasonique?

I started Depo in January of 2012 and after 2 years started to hate the side effects as i gained 40 pounds over time so I stopped going in for the shot in June of 2014 i spotted sort of in July and haven't had my period still and it's been 6 months almost 7 months and im not pregnant. Im freaking out and getting stressed over this. I never would think I would say this but, I just want my period back.

I started depo when I was 16 and now I'm 18 so I was on it for 2 years and never got my period once. And now it's been 2 months that Im off of it and still haven't gotten my period. I was on the pills to make my period come and they didn't work. I'm currently on a different birth control to hopefully bring it back. But I keep having pains in my ovaries And I keep thinking I'm pregnant but I just really want my period back and be back to normal

I took only one injection of depo in January at the insistence of my doctor, after I had an ectopic pregnancy in December. I didn't get my second injection that was supposed to be in March as I have no insurance and it is quite expensive. I have experienced the worst headaches (I've currently had one for two days now), mood swings, dizziness and hot flashes. My breasts are so sore that I can't even stand to have anything touch them. I even thought I was pregnant again. My mood swings are so severe that I can cry one second and be pissed off at everyone the next second, even my poor dog. I haven't gotten my period yet but I do have cramps every now and then. After reading these posts, I don't think I'm going to go back to depo again. My husband and I want to get pregnant and I'm hoping that it doesn't stick around in my system too long.

I would like to know would my body go back to normal size after getting of the depo shot?

Heya im 21 years old, i was put on the depo shot , i was on it for 9 months, put a drastic amount of weight on during that peroid of time,i came off the the depo 18/05/2015, since coming off the injection i have been getting a number of different side effects , starting from having an acidy sicklt feeling , not been able to eat properly, feeling dizzy, constantly feeling emotional with mood swings, bad cramps, muscle pains, constantly feeling tired, feeling like im on my period but im not. Just want abit of advise, im sick of feeling like this

I came off the shot July 2015 and I am experiencing all the same things. I hope this does not last long. :(
