Yes yes yes!!!!! I had an injection into my sacroilliac join in my pelvis. 2 days later I did not sleep, had body buzzing, blurred vision, was totally dizzy and could not walk a straight line, facial numbness, freezing cold hands and feet, intermittent right side headaches and lots of confusion. I wasn't scared but I should have been. I could not think straight enough to be scared. I am starting to come out of the woods 10 days later. Does anyone concur?

The only cure and best cure for frozen shoulder is rotor cuff surgery. Been there done that. I should not have waited so long to get relief. It is a pain, but the best thing to do. A Chinese doctor knew best.

I've had 2 cortisone shots in a month due to right shoulder pain. Since the shots I've experienced very unusual menstrual cycles. 3 in one month with the 2nd lasting 11 days and also extremely flaky scaly looking skin. Esp on my legs. Are these normal side effects??? Its horrible!!! Shoulder pain is still there. No better no worse. Wish I would have asked more questions.

Hi Cathy, Can you tell me where they injected you. Was it in your muscle around shoulder or in shoulder joint? I had a shot of kenalog in lower right shoulder blade muscle because they thought i had a trigger point. I have had constant pain ever since. It starts where the injection was given in lower shoulder blade muscle and it wraps around to front of ribs. The more i move my arm the pain gets worse. It was not like this prior to the shot. It was given in July 2013. I would never have that shot again. Thank you!

This is Cathy...she gave it to me in the right shoulder, supose to be in the joint, so she said. I am still having problems with anxiety symptoms, and face feels odd. I don't know if that is from the anxiety or from the cortisone. My mouth has not been the same since the shot. My lips feel cold and my mouth has a odd taste.

Hi Cathy, So it has been around 14 months for you and some of your symptoms cleared up and some have remained so far. It is encouraging to me that you did see some improvement. You mentioned in an earlier post about side pain. Can you explain where the pain was in the side. Was it rib or muscle etc... Also, I agree with you how the doctors treat us like we are crazy. It makes me so mad because they wouldn't want to live one day like we do. I have read on other sites that people improved as time went on. Have you tried any alternative things like vitamins, massage, pt, etc....I guess we can only hope to get our lives back. Thanks for getting back to me so quick.

Fran:  The pain was in my ribs, left and right side. Somedays it was bad. My head is still tingling at times and I have the weird numby like sensation on the left of my face and sometimes under my jaw line.

Oh Geez, I have had so many test since having that shot! I even had a spinal tap and a blood patch to follow that, they thought I might have MS!

Mind you the only thing that was bothering before the shot was arm and shoulder pain.

This has been a total train wreck for me. Never in my born days would I have thought this would happen

I have read that sometimes cortisone can cause temporary adrenal problems and thyroid problems.

I hope I recover. This has been disheartening.

Hi Cathy, OMG! You sound like me. Doc thought i had a torn muscle in my right shoulder blade said he couldn't do anyting about it. I went back after a year with same problem thinking it should have healed. Then they thought it was a trigger point. So i go back to my Doc for that trigger point shot in the shoulder blade muscle because I was having that occasional pain in my shoulder blade, inflammation and pulling sensation in rib area when I would do repetitive motions like wash dishes, mousing on computer, vacuuming. It would go away if I would just sit or stop the repetitive motion. I woke the next day after that injection and the pain was constant in shoulder blade muscle and around to the front of the ribs which feels like something is up under my ribs or pulling on them. I never had it constantly and stayed on a heating pad for days after but it never relented since the shot which was 5 months ago. I'm so frustrated because no one seems to care or want to help. I've been thru many test also like mri's, bone scan, blood work...The only thing they found was left side c5c6 herniation in neck but I never complained of neck or arm pain so neurologist said that wasn't causing all the right sided problems. He said a lot of people my age (51) have degenerative changes and herniation and don't ever realize it. I know that my pain became constant after that injection and presently I'm doing pt for thoracic and rib area and myofascial release. It has been an expensive ordeal and I have anxiety over all this stuff. Hopefully with time we heal. Thanks for chatting with me. It helps to compare notes. How long after you received your injection did you feel your symptoms. Do you take any meds?

I got severe panic attacks after a series in my back... I have a feeling that when they accidently get it into a vein, people are getting sick with all these reactions. The good news is... don't freak... It all goes away over time. email me with questions.

Like so many, I just did not do my usual research in my quest to make over 2 years of pain cease.  When diagnosed with a labral tear and being too old to be a surgical candidate (56) the guided injection seemed like the right option.  It is day 4 and symptoms still changing, but thanks to all of these that I am reading I not only feel more knowledgeable but have some hope they may clear up.  My symptoms, which began almost immediately, have been major anxiety, like I could snap someone's head off but at the same time burst into tears, abdominal pain and bloating, diarrhea, muscle tightness around other joints, especially on the side of the hip injection, back burning/icy pain, neck stiffness and just a bit of a throat tightness and raspy voice.  (Benedryl seems to help that).  Of course, even though I had never experienced them as menopause was diagnosed, I now have flushing and unreal hot flashes.  Stuffy head, too!  Scared this might never end and that the trade off may not have been wise.

Stay healthy.. water...vitamins etc... while this thing passes.. my worst was over after about 5-6 weeks.. yours could go quicker!! Good luck... email me if you have questions.

Western doctors know nothing about the human body... or at least nothing that can help sick people overcome their ailments. With they knowledge (built up on stupid theories) and they titles, they only help pharmacists to sell drugs they produce themselves. On the other hand, those drugs they produce and sell, with the horrible side effects they produce, provide them the demand for more drugs for the years to come!!! So beware folks cause this Doctors thing is ALL about Money and Greed

The pain to touch might be cause d by a left over symptom of hypersensitivity to the nerves. I had this once aftevr a shot. Felt like my leg was on fire and my spouse couldnt touch me. Doctor gave mr Lyrica for one week and it went away. Oddly, I am just recovering from a shot in my left lumbar region with increased pain in my left leg 2 weeks after injection. But the pain is different from what I went in for originally so while I think it helped with that it has been replaced with terrible leg cramps and a feeling of heaviness and fatigue in my leg especially after exercise. Anybody have any suggestions?
