Please somebody could help me! On the 6th of June 2012, I consulted my doctor due to headaches. He prescribed me some aspirin cardio (as a precautionary measure) and Indocid Retard for the headaches. As asked to do so by my doctor, I saw him again on the 15th June 2012. Since the Indocid had had no effect, my doctor changed the medication prescribing me Lyrica instead for the headaches. During that same consultation my doctor gave me an intradermal injection of Kenacort in the right parietal region of the head (scalp) to treat the headaches (nobody have seen that till now!). After some initial relief, the headaches came back with a vengeance, not only more severe but different in kind, and in addition I was having breathing problems too. So I went to see my doctor on the 20th July, 2012 and he prescribed me Symbicort 400/12 and Nexium, and I was given a second intradermal injection of Kenacort in the right parietal region of the head (scalp). After this the headaches became unbearable with severe pains in my face, neck, upper back, right ear and nose. This was accompanied by dizziness, vomiting, tiredness, burning pains in the roots of my hair, acne on my face and tinnitus. I also started losing my hair at the top of the skull (the site of the injections) and my scalp became hyper-sensitive. Various tests, such as laboratory analyses, x-rays or magnetic resonance, were then conducted but showed no specific anomalies. Over time, the hair loss increased and at the same time a visible area of scalp necrosis appeared on my skull at the precise place the injections were given. On 12th September 2012, suffering from intolerable headaches, dizziness and vomiting I went again to my doctor who administered a perfusion to me - I've got no details of its contents - and then Relplax, Primperan, Betarsec sevredol 20mg were prescribed to me. Since then, I’ve had severe migraines and Arnold nerve neuralgia that another doctor has been trying to cure. In the light of the above, could you please tell me if Kenarcort injections are suitable for treating headaches and if intradermal injections of Kenacort in the parietal region of the head are an appropriate treatment? Moreover, I'd like to know why Kenacort causes necrosis of the scalp (skin) and hair loss and so much pain in my head. I'm also in need of advice, support and information about how Kenacort works. I thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter. Best regards Babellec PS: sorry for my english but I'm from Switzerland

I have very low energy and flu-like symptoms since I receive shot a month ago. this is my 2nd cortisone shot, The 1st was unsuccessful though. It only lasted about 2 weeks. Doctor then gave me the Synvisc and I had a horrible reaction that lasted about 3 months. I couldn't sleep due to leg spasms all night. If I got to an relaxed state to fall asleep, my leg would start spasming continuously. I had to keep footstool next to my bed and set my leg on and apply pressure by pushing it against the stool. I don't think I will get another injection of either type.

I received a cortisone injection in my right shoulder on Wednesday morning. As soon as the drug entered my system, I became weak and dizzy. They brought me water and I slowly became okay to stand. Since that time I have had diarrhea and have not felt at all well. On Wednesday night, I did not sleep at all. I sat up all night, just feeling bad and unable to sleep. Yesterday, I walked to one of our offices - a ten minute walk each way. Last night my upper arms and face were burned - and it was a cloudy day. I have been walking between offices for six months during bright sun and have never burned before. I don't think I will ever get another injection.

I developed a spur in my left heels & my Doctor injected cortisone on it. True enough, the spur pain is gone but 3 days after, my left leg became smaller & my left toes crawled in that cause me walking out of balance. In a matter of months my muscles start to weakened & have several falls since. The weakening of my muscles are slowly progressing & could hardly walk. I had all the test done & everything came out negative except the weak muscles which the Doctors called Motor Neurone Disease which i don't really believed as all these symptoms started right after the injection. All the Doctors, Neurologist, Orthropedics that i have been talked to does not believe this was cause by the injection but they were all lying. I know my body. I am all fit & healthy & have no family history to this kind of disease, how come i suddenly have this disease right after the injection? I'm sure there is conspiracy going on among Doctors about the side effects of cortisone shot. It's just too bad i was one of this victims. If there is anyone out there who is has the same issue as mine please i want to hear from you & together lets find the cure. Thank you!.

After having heart surgery my legs and feet have swollen for years. I had the vein laser without success. I was finally refereed o a lymphedema clinic and was diagnosed as having it. Within a 3 month period of having treatment my legs were almost reduced by 12 inches  This is achieved by moving the fluid up through the lymph node through physical therapy and also pumping my legs 1 hour a day using a boot pump. I wish a doctor had referred me years ago but we did not have one close until recently.

I had my first ever Cortisone shot two days ago for torn meniscus in my right knee.  The first night I didn't sleep at all and last night it took me a few hours to finally fall to sleep (got a full four hours).  I had to urinate twice last night (which I never do) but am feeling much better this morning.  The good news is my knee is feeling much better and the swelling is down significantly.

Had same.. dumbass doctor claims to have studied at mayo too.... heres the deal. the cortisone set off a panic disorder... couldn't sleep, waking up in panic,, coulnt eat....deal is that you need counseling for a panic disorder. Had to believe but the cortisone isn't the continuing cause. Just call and get single or group conseliin for anxiety. I am 85% better and breathing normal and eating .... thank god... that was horrible... how are you now??

Four days after having 0.5% of celestone and Marciano mixture (cortisone) into my left hip, greater trochanteric bursa, I have experienced continual nausea. Straight after the injection I had a vasovagal episode lasting up to 2 minutes.

It is too soon to determine if I have benefitted from this procedure, but I seriously don't want to experience these symptoms again.

I got a kenalog injection into my left shoulder on june 4th...now 2 months later i have atrophy along with a constant period varying from spotting to bleeding that no tampon or pad can help with. The blood is black and is comparable to motor oil. Those are the major symptoms along with weight loss, thinning skin, migraines, anxiety, high blood pressure, night sweats, shortness of breathe when i do a simple activity like walking, my skin is peeling as if it was winter, and constant throbbing pain in my shoulder. Im sure im forgetting a few bc ive experienced so many...ive noticed no one really posts about what has helped...im taking vitamins b,c,d, b12, b complex, and also a prenatal vitamin with dha and omega 3. These seem to help with headaches and the mental issues. Im going to do saline injections for the atrophy. Was never told of these horrid side effects and count me in on a class action lawsuit! Im 28 and feel my life has been ruined by one 80 mg shot of kenalog.
