I have given my baby mylicon before, on the advice of the paediatrician, so you can imagine that I was surprised when I read that there had been a mylicon recall for side effects. Did anyone follow this story and can you tell me what the recall was for? What are the side effects that can be caused by mylicon?

I think that the manufacturers of mylicon drops discovered that some of the batches contained metal particles after going through routine tests of the medication, and that the and batches were recalled. As far as I understand, not all bottles of mylicon have this problem, and if you did not give mylicon to your children recently, it is unlikely that there is any problem with the mylicon you gave.
