I suffer from Diabetes Type 2 and have also been having constipation for a few months now. Constipation can be really quite uncomfortable, so I went to the doctor and got help for it. I have now been prescribed senna tablets. Since taking the senna tablets, my constipation is much better but I did notice that I have been feeling weak and fatigued. Do you think this is due to the senna tablets? Are these known side effects of senna tablets?

Could it be that the symptoms you are experiencing are being caused by low potassium levels? Ongoing use of senna tablets can cause the body's potassium levels to decrease, something that diabetics should be on the look out for in any case. If you are no longer constipated, the best bet might be coming off medication.
