Hi! I am 68 years old woman. About ten years I am on treatment for osteoporosis. Recently, doctor changed me therapy, and prescribed me Evista. Only I want to know about side effects. Maybe isn’t true but I heard that Evista decrease level of cholesterol. I also have elevated level of cholesterol. Thank you!

Hi! As you mentioned Evista has one very positive side effect. It lowers total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. It does not affect HDL cholesterol or triglyceride levels.
