I have this recurring tiny cut, almost like a nick or something, on my left inner labia just under the clitoral hood. It itches and then there is the tiniest cut, you can barely see it, but it stings. I was tested for all STDs last year and in a monogamous relationship for a year. I do have herpes 1 (oral), but have had it my entire life. Sometimes I do notice a a small build up of smegma around the clitoris but I try to be good about taking warm baths frequently, plus I shower at least once a day. Every time I think to go to the gyno for it, the cut goes away within a matter of a few days. I am wondering if this sounds like an STD or maybe it is just from friction-perhaps it is just the way I am built and so the friction keeps happening in the same place (that's the thing, it is the same exact place every time). It happens kind of frequently, I'd say not once a month but more than twice a year. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be or if it is cause for concern? Thanks in advance!

Do you shave down there? it could be a simple thing as a couple of your hairs catching wrong on your skin.?
Check with your doctor.

I do shave, yes. I sometimes shave everything. Currently it is growing back and I have had some discomfort relating to this. However, my concern is that it is always in the same exact place. Wouldn't it happen elsewhere down there if it were related to that? Or maybe it's just my anatomy combined with the growing back of the hair?
