Hi, Its the side effects of female orgasm I would like to discuss. I fine my energy changes dramatically whereby I cant focus on little things, I adopt an immature attitude to everything in general, and its as if I am so much more turned on AFTER climaxing than I am beforehand. It is unpleasant to feel unbalanced like this just because of orgasming and I spend the majority of my sexual interest time trying NOT to climax because of how awful I feel afterwards, the actual climax is enjoyable but its the post climax destruction in my life that I have trouble with dealing with emotionally and physically afterwards. Example; this week I have had three near miss car accidents, hit my head and beien cut, fined for texting in the car, and the list goes on....I would consider a clitoral circumcision if only the procedure was legal that is what brought me to this topic searching for clitoral operation?
why isnt it talked about by other woman? I have been aware of this all my life and have tried to refrain from having orgasms just so I dont create the tidal wave afterwards. Is this why the African girls are circumcised at an early age, do they know something that we dont?

Dear Lucinda
I would advise against clitoral circumcision - certainly as is practiced in Africa. When an African girl is circumcised, it is usually the complete removal of the clitoris (female genital mutilation), and is not for medical reasons! It is often for:
- Cleansing by the removal of "male" body parts.
- Ensuring pre-marital virginity and inhibiting extra-marital sex, because it reduces libido.
- Fearing the pain of re-opening the vagina, and being afraid of being discovered if it is opened illicitly
There are 3 main types:
- removal of the clitoral hood, usually accompanied by removal of the clitoris itself (clitoridectomy);
- removal of the clitoris and inner labia;
- removal of all or part of the inner and outer labia, and usually the clitoris, and the fusion of the wound, leaving a small hole for the passage of urine and menstrual blood—the fused wound is opened for intercourse and childbirth ((infibulation)
However, just as with male circumcision, there may be (in some people) a medical need for just the clitoral hood to be cut.
Nevertheless, that does not appear to be your problem or need. It sounds as though your 'climax' is only a partial release, and you are still aroused and not completely satiated. You may need a deeper release - the sort that results in gushing or even squirting.
I hope this helps as a start. If you want to discuss it further, or want more 'release' help, please ask (privately if you prefer).

Lucinda, I have the exact same circumstance as you,and as you, I love the feeling of orgasm but the after effects are not so good. I have talked to women who have had their clitoris removed but still have small orgasms but totally ends quickly. These women were from Asia (Malasia) . You did not say but is your clit oversized? Mine is much larger than normal and results in a very strong drive. If I cannot locate a surgeon to reduce me in the states, I will go to Malasia and find a quality surgeon there. This should reduce my drive to control the problem.

Please be careful as damage can occur, and the surgery is irreversible. I would strongly recommend that you do not have any cutting of your clitoris. The size of your clit is not likely to be the cause of your 'problem'. Clitoral size does not of itself cause a strong sex drive. Although it is possible to reduce the clitoris size, there are risks and complications associated with the surgery. The clitoris is rich in blood and nerve supply. It may therefore experience postoperative problems such as hyper-sensitivity (very high) or hypo-sensitivity (very low) There could also be chronic pain or numbness, as well as scarring, as the surgery is on a nerve-dense area. So the surgical “solution” could be worse than the “problem” you thin you have. I would leave well alone and go for natural solutions.

Hi,
First off, if you're in the EU or the US, it is unlikely that you will find any doctor to perform a clitoral excision on you, and for good reason. You don't want to cut off a healthy body part and suffer the potential side effects, like chronic pain and lack of sexual pleasure for the rest of your life. Go to therapy before considering anything like that.
What you said did ring a bell though. There is something called persistent sexual arousal syndrome. I read about a woman who would have clitoral orgasm after clitoral orgasm, totally involuntarily. It went beyond fun. Way, way beyond. She was aroused, physically but not mentally, all day long.
If that sounds familiar to you, please see a doctor as soon as you can!!!
