Hello! For over 4 months I have been feeling so down in the damps with no apparent reason, so I thought something may be wrong. The main reason I considered neuro psychiatrists is that I know a little bit about depression as my uncles had suffered from it. The doc put me on Paxil but the problem is that I didn’t accept it very well, as it made me sick and nauseous. I am vomiting and experience lack of appetite. I am wondering of other ssri’s would give me the same side effects. Thx

Hi! It doesn’t have to mean that you will get the same effects from other ssri’s. I have been suffering from depression for over a year now, and I have been on both Zoloft and Prozac. Zoloft gave me awful side effects while everything worked well with Prozac. You should talk to the doc who prescribed the drug to you, or wait a little bit and see if the side effects will stop and if you will benefit from the drug. I don’t know what else to tell you.
