what looked like a vein popped over my wrist bone.....didn't heal......went to doctor after a month......had an x-ray......showed no break, but a small cyst.....doctor decided to give me a cortisone injection in my wrist, used an ultrasound to guide the needle in......my wrist was tender after the injection......next day my wrist was swollen and red......called the doctor to report my condition.......so he prescribed me bactim 800mg and medrol 4 mg pack......the next morning it is still swollen, red and now numb and tingling......looks like the swollen moved further up my forarm........could this be a reaction to the cortisone or an infection of some type? not sure if i should go to the emergency room?
