So my boyfriend of 4 years and I had sex and the condom broke. I took Plan B as soon as I could (14 hours after) but I felt no side effects. I went to the doctor 2 days later and asked him and he said I should be fine but I am still worried. Its been a week now and I still haven`t felt any side effects is that bad? I got birth control at the doctors so this wont happen anymore because it is so stressful but he said not to start taking them until I start my period just in case the Plan B didn`t work. But how will I know if its my normal period or something else? Anyone know what to do!?

Hi Jacky,
Taking Plan B as early as you did it is almost 97% effective.
Your period may be early or late, heavy or lighter, with Plan B. You'll just have to wait until you have your period.
You can take a pregnancy test when you have your period. Plan B will not affect the accuracy.
Good luck.
